Whale Watching - Sri Lanka

The location of Sri Lanka has been one of the most influential factors in making the country one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world and the ability to engage in whale watching enhances this attractiveness.

                 Since recent times Sri Lanka's calm and majestic ocean and coastline has made it convenient for enthusiasts to experience marine and aquatic life in its most natural habitat. Trincomalee, in the North Eastern region of Sri Lanka, and the Southern region of Sri Lanka is the most ideal spot for whale watching but certain other regions also offers a great environment for whale watchers.

             Blue whales as well as sperm whales can be sighted easily in Sri Lanka and Dondra Point is ideal to easily catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures during the months of December to April.
